World Prematurity Day - November 17th

Across the world, November 17th is a special day for millions of people. World Prematurity Day is the day we speak up for those who are too little and too sick to do so themselves. It is when we come together to raise awareness about the devastating effects of preterm birth for all of the mothers, babies and families who have to live with prematurity, not just on November 17th, but for the rest of their lives.

This year on this important day, Borne is delighted to announce a new partnership with children's charity Action Medical Research. Together we are joining forces to fund £1.5 million of new research projects over the next 3 years to help identify the causes behind prematurity and find ways to stop it.

Around the globe 15 million babies are born too soon every year, and yet obstetrics and obstetric research remains chronically under-funded and under-resourced. Borne and Action Medical Research believe that only by investing in research can the devastation caused by premature birth be stopped, and we believe our combined investment will play a vital role in achieving our goals.
