We are proud to have secured £62,500 in our match pot, generously donated by our major donors and our champion, The EQ Foundation. We are aiming to raise £125,000 – and we need your help to achieve this goal.

Premature birth is the leading cause of childhood death and disability worldwide. Yet we still don’t know enough about what triggers preterm labour. Being born too soon can have a devastating impact on the child; many children live with a lifelong disability and more than 1 million do not survive. It doesn’t end there, the parent’s mental health can be affected, causing psychological stress and they are often left asking why?

Undeterred by the pandemic, we have committed £1 million to Borne’s Uterine Mapping Project (BUMP), which will bring together scientists and clinicians to understand the origins of labour.

We need your help to fund this vital research to improve the lives of mothers and babies around the world. Please donate now and help us spread the news by introducing your friends to Borne and asking them to support us this Christmas!
