Ambassadors Dean and Sarah Mumm raise over A$140,000
Borne Ambassadors Dean and Sarah Mumm have raised an amazing A$140,000 towards a scientific collaboration between Borne and the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) to better understand the causes of premature birth.
Dean and Sarah have endured the grief of losing four children to premature birth and are dedicated to finding answers through medical research. They are ambassadors for Borne and founded the Borne-HMRI collaboration in 2018.
The dinner is part of a multi-year effort to fund a Borne Research Fellow in Australia who will work with HMRI to carry out pioneering research into the prevention of preterm birth.
In 2018, Dean trekked to the North Pole for Borne, raising over A$150,000.
“We are so grateful for everyone who attended the evening, to the event sponsors and to the generous people who donated prizes. The collective generosity enabled us to raise over $140,000 which will go directly to Australian researchers working with the Borne HMRI collaboration. It is truly remarkable to see others join us in our journey to prevent preterm birth.”
