Dr Brendan Browne, a Borne funded scientist explains why World Prematurity Day is important to him and his work.

Dr Brendan Browne-

Hi, I’m Brendan and I’m a NHS doctor and Borne funded scientist and I do research into what causes women to go into labour. About 7% of pregnancies end in preterm birth in the UK and for many of these cases we don’t know why. So my research looks into what causes labour to start normally so that we can extrapolate that information into preterm birth delivery.

On this World Prematurity Day I’m asking you to support charities like Borne, who help fund important research that myself and my colleagues do.
