In Memory
Giving

The loss of a baby is an overwhelming, heartbreaking and life-changing experience, and it can be extremely hard to process. Many parents find solace in channelling their grief into something positive in honour of their baby’s life.

Ways of remembering

Everyone’s grief is different, and it can be difficult to know where to start when commemorating your child’s life. Here are some special and meaningful ways that you can honour your baby by supporting Borne’s research, leaving a lasting legacy and improving outcomes for generations to come.

Set up a memorial page

By asking your loved ones to donate in memory of your child, you can create a lasting legacy by raising for research into premature birth, helping us to build a world where no baby is born too soon.

Plan or take part in an event

Setting yourself a challenge or holding an event to remember your child can be a comforting and purposeful way to mark their life. Whether you chose to run, walk or cycle in their name, we can support you every step of the way.

Donate in memory

A gift in memory of your child will go towards advancing our understanding, finding answers, and ultimately ending premature birth – everywhere and forever. You may want to set up a regular donation in your child’s name, creating an ongoing legacy to commemorate their life.

Share your story

If and when you feel prepared to share your story, it can be a beautiful way of remembering your child, while helping to raise awareness and offering comfort to others who may have had similar experiences. Whether yours is a story of loss, pain, love or hope, we would be honoured to hear it.

Borne’s research into the prevention of preterm birth gives us hope that other babies and families do not endure the same heartbreak and pain as us.
