Finding Answers
We fund research to better understand pregnancy and the triggers of labour. This knowledge is essential for developing treatments that can prevent premature birth and offer hope to affected families.
Improving Treatment
Alongside building scientific understanding, we urgently support studies that test safe and effective ways to delay labour and reduce premature births today.
Nurturing Talent
We invest in training future researchers and support clinicians in developing research that advances the prevention of premature birth. Through our partnership with the Medical Research Council, we co-fund fellowships and career awards focused on uncovering the causes of preterm birth.
The largest barrier to the development of diagnostic treatment and prevention strategies for preterm birth and stillbirth is our inability to comprehend the biological processes of pregnancy and childbirth.
