About Fierce Calm

Borne is proud to be an official charity partner of Fierce Calm 108.

On 23 June, the Fierce Calm community will come together across the world to perform 108 sun salutations. The event will be led by Fierce Calm ambassadors and yoga teachers at the Gratitude Festival in the UK and online via social media.

Participants are encouraged to share the love and gratitude from their yoga practice by giving to Borne or some of the other charities involved.

Fierce Calm 108 will be broadcast live on Facebook Live and Instagram Live and under the #FierceCalm108 hashtag.

Meet Hannah and Amelie

Fierce Calm Ambassador and Borne supporter, Hannah Barrett, will teaching at the Gratitude Festival and leading 108 sun salutations.

Hannah’s daughter, Amelie, was born premature at 35 weeks + 5 days.

Borne is a charity very close to my heart. Amelie was born a month early after I suffered a placental abruption and was extremely sick when she was born. We just don’t know enough about premature birth. The fact that each year over 1 million babies die from being born too early is heartbreaking. I have no doubt that the work Borne are doing will save millions of lives.

How to support Borne

There are many ways for you to support our life-saving research on preterm birth with Fierce Calm 108:

  • Host a #FierceCalm108 yoga event at your local studio or in a community space and collect donations from participants.
  • Buy your Fierce Calm 108 t-shirt and use code “Borne” at checkout. At least £10.80 of each shirt goes towards the charity.
  • Roll out your mat and take part in Fierce Calm 108 online – alone or with friends. End your session by donating £10.80 to Borne!
  • It doesn’t have to be about yoga! Set yourself a “108” challenge – 108 salutations, headstands or push-ups – and ask your friends to support it on JustGiving.
